Making a positive impact on our communities is core to our company’s DNA.
One of our core values is Care Passionately — about our customers, colleagues, and communities.
We give philanthropically to dozens of organizations each year, typically with a focus on education and economic development. We believe in supporting programs that help equip people to have productive careers — often in the construction trades.
In addition to giving monetarily, we also give back through volunteer hours as groups and as individuals, taking advantage of the company-offered volunteer time off policy that encourages team members to spend time volunteering for causes dear to their hearts.
Urban League of Rochester YouthBuild
One of the programs our team enjoys supporting is YouthBuild.
This is a non-profit organization that provides education, job training, and leadership development opportunities to young people.
Through YouthBuild programs, young people in the United States and across the globe pursue education, career readiness, and community leadership to build a better, brighter future for themselves and their community.
The GP Flooring Solutions team helps empower local YouthBuild groups by offering insights into commercial construction through seminars and firsthand experiences via job site tours. These initiatives are carried out hand in hand with our trusted network of general contractors.
Our most recent activity involves facilitating an introduction talk about commercial construction and a job-site tour at one of our housing project developments. The team is happy to help equip young people with the skills and resources for job readiness to support our community and the future of the construction industry.

Giving Back As A Team
All GP Flooring Solutions staff are encouraged to volunteer in the community by participating in high school career day presentations, donating to food drives and doing other volunteer work.
The company offers a Volunteer PTO for all employees, so they have a paid day each year to engage in volunteer work.

Flower City Habitat for Humanity Dedication
GP Flooring Solutions President and CEO Abby Reinhard attended the dedication of this Flower City Habitat for Humanity home in Rochester both as a Builders Exchange of Rochester board member and as a sponsor through GP Flooring Solutions.
Food Drive for SBC Cares
We set a goal for six boxes of Thanksgiving meals for the SBC Cares food drive and ended up donating eleven boxes! We do aim to exceed expectations!
Visiting 270 on East with YouthBuild
GP Flooring Solutions was excited to partner with Christa Construction to give a 101 on commercial construction and job-site tour to participants of the Urban League’s YouthBuild program.
